“Reach the Stars”

“Dada, put me on your shoulders so I can reach the stars.”

Inspired by my previous work “Sunrise & Sunset”, Allison requested an engraved picture frame for her husband’s 40th birthday. I designed her quote around a circle, added star embellishments, and created a mock-up in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop for her to approve.

Proofs are essential for every project since I’m creating one-of-kind works and a mistake can ruin an otherwise lovely gift. Thankfully, I have a graphic design background, so Allison was able to see my concept realized and approve the design beforehand. In the final some colors shifted, and the engraved lines and letters varied slightly, but it’s pretty darn close to the proof.
