Calligraphy and Monogram Design

Monograms are always fun because each one is unique to a person or couple. Abby and Kurt requested a monogram for their wedding that used their first, middle and last initials. Abby requested script letters while Kurt wanted a strong, serif S. For Kurt's request, I chose a Caslon S. Caslon is one of my favorite typefaces and I enjoy bringing my graphic design background into my calligraphy work. The pillows were a gift from Abby’s mother. It’s always enjoyable to see the different applications of a monogram. I wish Abby and Kurt much happiness in the future!
